The brand's ethos is centered on the exploration and reinterpretation of the narratives, myths, folklore, religion, and popular culture originating from a part of the world that is often misinterpreted, misunderstood, and mischaracterized.
STEPAN LATYPOV accomplishes this via a commitment to USA-based craftsmanship, premium material selection, and an attention to detail that results in garments that proudly carry the weight of the history that inspired their creation.

STEPAN LATYPOV is a pseudonym. It is the combination of my name and my mother's patronymic name.
STEPAN LATYPOV is a biography. It is a collection of memories, anecdotes, and recorded events, passed down from one generation to the next, recorded through the medium of fabric.
STEPAN LATYPOV is a bridge. It is a means of reconciling a gap between two cultures and, in that space, constructing something distinct but similar, foreign but familiar, a way of thinking and dressing that synthesizes two seemingly polar opposites into a new, unified whole.
